The Little Brown Church with a Bell

Our Missions

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.

USDA & Food Pantry Distributions
The Session of Nederland Community Presbyterian Church supports the local food distributions in our mountain community and the congregation joins with St. Rita's Catholic Parish in supplying the shelves and distributing food to those in need.

Community Support

We open our Fellowship Hall to support the activities of important groups in our community, Nederland Area Seniors, Boy Scouts, and regular meetings of a variety of art and writing classes.

We support the development of the cultural life of our community through the Mountain Community Music & Arts Association, and we encourage the use of our Charles Walter grand piano by music teachers throughout the area.

Crop Walk

Highlands Presbyterian Camp & Retreat Center
The Session of Nederland Community Presbyterian Church contributes to Highlands Camp & Retreat Center as part of its regular church mission.

Churchwide Special Offerings

Annual churchwide special offerings provide valuable fundraising for the ongoing programs of the church. At Nederland Community Presbyterian Church we participate in these two.

Peacemaking Offering.
The Peacemaking Offering supports the peacemaking efforts of the church at every governing body level, and provides an opportunity to witness to God's gift of peace in the world.

One Great Hour of Sharing Offering.
Gifts to this offering support ministries of disaster response, refugee assistance and resettlement and community development that help people find safe refuge, start new lives and work together to strengthen their families and communities.
